Deepfake technology, employing artificial intelligence, has been used to manipulate voices and images, creating convincing but entirely fabricated videos. An example includes an altered video featuring Prime Minister Lee in an interview discussing a fictitious government-sanctioned investment platform linked to Elon Musk.
