What Are the Opinions Coming Out of the Bitcoin 2024 Conference?
Michael Saylor, Director of Microstrategy, labeled 2024 “year one of mainstream institutional adoption of Bitcoin.” Given the record number of political figures, we have already written about such assumptions in a previous article.
He added, “I think there’s a fair wind blowing for Bitcoin regardless. I really can’t see any administration in the future not embracing Bitcoin.”
BlackRock, represented by Michael Mitchnick, also indicated his position: “I would say that our client phase today, their interest overwhelmingly is in Bitcoin first. There’s definitely interest in Ethereum, too, but there’s very little interest today beyond those two.”
More Lightspark chief strategy officer Christian Catalini and Xapo Bank director of public affairs, policy and regulation Joey Garcia shared their promising vision of how the banking and transfers can be transformed using crypto, making it sustainable and seamless worldwide:
“There’s only one asset, and that asset is Bitcoin. It has regulatory clarity. It has on and off-ramps in pretty much every country around the globe.”
However, Jimmy Song, a famous Bitcoin developer, was not so optimistic and criticized some speakers: “I hate that this is what the Bitcoin conference is talking about. Banking, ETFs, BlackRock. Those aren’t my values, those aren’t Bitcoin values, those aren’t American values.”
What Other Interesting Awaits Us at the Bitcoin 2024 Conference?
Of course, the main interest of this year’s Bitcoin Conference is the exceptional activity of the first political figures like Donald Trump and Robert Kennedy Jr.
By the way, Robert Kennedy Jr. outlined his vision regarding Bitcoin in his interview yesterday, which you can read about in our article.
We will follow this special Bitcoin Conference very closely, which is unlike all previous ones.
