Yesterday’s Crypto Summit held at the White House uncovered a lot of good news for the cryptocurrency market. During the meeting, President Donald Trump announced a handful of innovative measures for the digital assets sector.
The most talked-about announcement was definitely the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. Earlier that day, the President signed an executive order allowing the U.S. Treasury to stockpile almost $18 billion in Bitcoin — adding yet another layer of credibility to the world’s largest cryptocurrency.
Trump also declared that he expects to receive a new regulatory framework for digital assets by August. The framework will then be voted on in Congress later this year.
FIFA’s President Makes an Appearance at The Summit
Giani Infantino, President of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) made a quick appearance at the Summit.
Infantino started off by talking about the upcoming World Cup, taking place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico in 2026. He also showcased the brand new FIFA Clubs World Cup trophy, which will be awarded to the winner of this year’s first-ever event.
Shortly after, Giani Infantino stated that he was interested in creating a cryptocurrency for FIFA:
“I’m not an expert at all, but FIFA, as you know, is a globally known and very strong brand,” Infantino said. “The soccer economy in the world is worth around 170 billion a year, 70% of that, Mr. President, is in Europe.
“So imagine the potential there is around the world, only in soccer, if we develop it. FIFA is very, very interested under my presidency to develop a coin, to do it from here in America, and to conquer the 5 billion soccer fans in the world.”
FIFA CEO: "Fifa is very interested in developing a FIFA Coin, here in America and to conquer the 5billion soccer fans in the world." We will conquer the world with Fifa Coin.

President Trump responded enthusiastically to the proposal, arguing that the potential FIFA crypto could be worth even more than FIFA itself.
FIFA Coin Surges 18,000%
Shortly after the President’s remarks about the potential “FIFA Coin”, a new cryptocurrency under the exact same name increased 180 times its original value in under 24 hours.
“FIFA Coin”, traded on Uniswap, gained over 18,000 in value since Donald Trump’s remarks. The currency was launched no more than a couple of days ago and has already achieved a market capitalization of over $3 million.
However, investors manage their risks wisely given that the football association has yet to launch an official token, meaning the “FIFA Coin” in question is in no way affiliated with FIFA. This project in question lacks every fundamental KYC verification, not disclosing an official website, X account, or any social media presence for that matter.
