Just days after Microstrategy was added to the Nasdaq 100, the company appears to be making moves looking to enhance its presence on the market. Recent reports reveal that the company has just added 3 new members to its board of directors.
The news arose after the company issued a filing within the SEC, adding new members to its board of directors. Interestingly, most of the new members have had a very present career in digital assets firms, reinforcing Microstrategy’s strategy of expanding its influence in the digital assets market.
The most notable new member is former Binance.US CEO Brian Brooks. During his time at the exchange, he worked towards creating regulatory compliance with U.S. regulators. On top of that, Brooks was also the chief legal officer at Coinbase for 2 years, from 2018 to 2020.
Furthermore, Jane Dietze was the second member added to Microstragy’s board of directors. She was the Chief Investment Officer at Brown University and was responsible for managing the university’s $7.2 billion endowment.
The last member of the list, Gregg Winiarski was the Chief Legal Officer at the sports apparel company Fanatics, and before 2023 he was the senior finance advisor for that same firm.
The new board of directors will oversee Microstrategy’s grand entrance at the Nasdaq 100 on December 23. After building up billions of dollars in Bitcoin at its reserves, Microstrategy became one of the most profitable shares of 2024. Now entering the Nasdaq 100, Microstrategy aims for even greater growth.
